High 5 Reusable Gel Flask - Red / 150ml

Single use plastic is widely used in sports nutrition as a way to keep energy gels fresh and to stop them bursting or splitting. At HIGH5, we are constantly looking at new materials, searching far and wide to find a viable packaging material for gels, which is no easy task. Excitingly, we have found one solution: a reusable gel flask with a bulk gel bottle to refill the gel flask.

The idea is you fill up your reusable gel flask at home, allowing you to personalise your carb intake and even dilute the gel with water to your taste and take it with you on your run, ride or workout to stay fuelled throughout. When you’re done, you simply wash out your reusable gel flask with soapy water and use it again and again. Both soft flasks have a measure for the amount of gel and carbohydrate energy so it is easy to pour in what you need and see how much you’re taking on during exercise. The refillable bottle is recyclable*, contains just over 13 of your typical HIGH5 40g gels and can be stored in the fridge for up to 6 weeks once opened.  

Available in two sizes, it includes marks on the back for number of gel and amount of carbohydrate to measure your fuel. The 150ml soft flask holds up to 3 HIGH5 Energy Gel. The 250ml soft flask holds up to 6 HIGH5 Energy Gel.

Is the soft flask recyclable?
Yes, these can be recycled through your local recycling facilities but the soft flask is designed to be reused many times before you need to throw them away.

Is there a limit to how often the soft flask can be re-used?
No, you can reuse the soft flask as many times as you want. We recommend washing it thoroughly every time you use it.

Why is there no liquid coming out from flask?
Try squeezing the flask with your hand. while sucking the gel through. This will allow for liquid to flow out through the nozzle.

Is the soft flask BPA free?
Yes, the soft flask is BPA free and is approved for food use.

Will the gel flask fit in my cycle jersey pocket?
The HIGH5 refillable flasks are small enough to go in your cycle jersey pocket.

Where can I get ‘bulk’ gel to refill the soft flask?
We currently offer HIGH5 Energy Gel Berry in a bulk refill format but plan to add more flavours in future. This can be purchase here.

Is the Refill Energy Gel bottle recyclable?
The bottle and label are widely recycled. However, the cap is currently not recycled.

Is it okay to take Energy Gel and follow with water or ZERO?
You should consume energy gels with appropriate fluid intake to stay hydrated as is recommended whenever you take part in sports activity. You can use ZERO instead of water.

Is it ok to use the soft flask for water?
Yes, you can also put water in the soft flask. You can also mix the water with ZERO, but note that the flask may stain a little from the natural colourings used.
